“A World at Sea” to Bring Tropical Adventures to New York and Beyond
MIAMI, October 29, 2013 â€“Â Royal Caribbean International and Macyâ€™s today revealed the first look at the cruise lineâ€™s new float, which will set sail down the streets of New York as part of the 87thÂ Annual Macyâ€™s Thanksgiving Day ParadeÂ®lineup. Dubbed â€œA World at Sea,â€ the float was designed by the creative artists of the Macyâ€™s Parade Studio and will bring the cruise vacation experience to midtown Manhattan and beyond via three distinct postcard scenes which take place onboard a Royal Caribbean ship. The rotating scenes depict three â€œWOWâ€ moments found only on Royal Caribbean, including the cruise lineâ€™s signature FlowRider surf simulator, thrilling zip line and iconic rock climbing wall.
The float will celebrate the November 2014 debut ofÂ Quantum of the SeasÂ â€“ the first ship in Royal Caribbeanâ€™s groundbreaking Quantum-class â€“ and will feature a special, surprise performance.Â Quantum of the SeasÂ will sail out of the New York area to exciting destinations in the Caribbean, including Labadee, Haiti and CocoCay, The Bahamas â€“ Royal Caribbeanâ€™s highly-rated, private beach getaways.
